MSK ultrasound course: shoulder and elbow
Module one of the basic hands-on course for physicians. Machine setup and knobology, clinical anatomy, standard views, and the common pathology of the shoulder and elbow. Teaching follows the ESSR, EULAR, and EURO-MUSCULUS protocols, with most of the day spent scanning in small groups. No previous ultrasound experience needed. The course runs 5.5 hours.

MSK ultrasound course: wrist, hand, and hip
Module two builds on the technical and anatomical base and adds artefacts in MSK ultrasound. Systematic examination of the small superficial structures of the hand and wrist alongside the deeper structures of the hip, two technically opposite settings. Most of the day is hands-on scanning in small groups. The course runs 5.5 hours.

MSK ultrasound course: knee, ankle, and foot
Module three carries the technique across to the lower limb. Standard examination protocols for the knee, ankle, and foot, the common pathology of each, and an additional block on the role of ultrasound in the treatment of spasticity. Completing it closes the basic protocol for both upper and lower limb. The course runs 5.5 hours.
